New Heat for a Chandler Home

Heating installation in Chandler is mostly a replacement decision for systems installed during the city’s 1990s and 2000s growth. Winters are mild, so the right choice depends less on raw heating power and more on what the house already has: a gas line or not, the age of the air conditioner, and whether the equipment sits in an attic, a closet or on the roof.

Choosing the System

  • Gas furnace. A good fit where gas is already in the house. It shares the blower and indoor coil with the AC.
  • Heat pump. Heats and cools with one outdoor unit. If the AC is also near the end of its life, one heat pump can replace both.
  • Dual fuel. A heat pump for most days and a gas furnace for the coldest mornings.
  • Packaged unit. All-in-one equipment on the roof or a pad, replaced with the curb and connections checked.

Attic Installations

Many Chandler homes have the furnace in the attic. That changes the job: safe access, a secondary drain pan under the equipment, and venting that clears the roof properly. We price that work up front so it does not show up as a surprise.

Sizing and Efficiency

We size by load calculation. A high-efficiency condensing furnace needs a condensate drain and different venting, and with a short heating season the payback can be long, so we show you both options side by side.

Permits

Chandler’s Building Safety division permits and inspects heating installations. We file the permit and check gas, venting and carbon monoxide at startup.

Install Day

We protect floors and the attic access, shut off gas and power, remove the old furnace and set the new one. Then we reconnect gas, venting and the drain, run a full heating cycle, check gas pressure and temperature rise, and show you the thermostat. The old equipment leaves with us.

Common Questions

Can I replace only the furnace?

Yes, if the AC is in good shape and the new blower matches the indoor coil. If the AC is over about 12 years old, we price both.

Who supplies my power?

Chandler is served by SRP or APS depending on the address. SRP’s service area map shows which.
