What Factory Authorized Actually Buys You

Anyone can buy and fit a Carrier unit. Factory authorization means the training and the parts channel come straight from the manufacturer, which shows up in correct diagnostic procedure for the equipment in front of us, genuine components rather than near equivalents, and commissioning to the specification the manufacturer warranty is written against.

Carrier 2022 President's Award

Awarded for dealer performance. It says nothing about your unit and everything about whether the company installing it will still be here to service it.

Carrier Equipment We Install and Service

Central Air Conditioning

Split system air conditioners across the Carrier range, sized by load calculation rather than by matching whatever is on the pad. In Arizona these have to meet the Southwest region floor of 14.3 SEER2 and 11.7 EER2 under 45,000 BTU, judged on the installation date.

Infinity and Performance Series

Carrier’s higher tier lines, including variable capacity equipment and the controls that go with them. Worth the money in some houses and not in others, and we will tell you which yours is before you spend it.

Heat Pumps

One machine covering both seasons, which suits a mild Phoenix heating load. Split system heat pumps carry a national minimum of 14.3 SEER2 and 7.5 HSPF2, enforced by date of manufacture rather than install date.

Furnaces and Packaged Rooftop Units

Gas furnaces and packaged rooftop equipment for flat roof homes and small commercial buildings, where the job includes curb work, drainage, and roof access alongside the equipment itself.

Ductless Mini Splits

For additions, converted garages, casitas, and rooms the duct system never served properly. No duct run needed, and each zone gets its own control.

Install, Repair, Maintain: The Whole Life of the Unit

A Carrier unit is a twelve to fifteen year relationship with whoever put it in, so it is worth knowing what each stage of that involves.

Adams has been one of the HVAC contractors in Phoenix carrying the same equipment from installation through to the day it is replaced, out of one building on North 35th Avenue with the parts counter behind the trucks.

  • Installation: load calculation first, then placement, ductwork, venting, and commissioning measured against the manufacturer specification.
  • Repair: diagnosis before parts, genuine Carrier components, and a line that is open every hour of the night.
  • Maintenance: condenser and evaporator coils, refrigerant charge and pressures, safety controls and electrical, filters, thermostat calibration, moving parts.
  • Refrigerant: new Carrier equipment runs a lower GWP A2L such as R-454B, after residential R-410A left production on January 1, 2025.
  • Warranty: manufacturer coverage usually depends on correct installation and documented maintenance, so keep the paperwork we leave you.
  • Other brands: we install and service them too. Authorization is depth on Carrier, not a limit on what we will touch.
Included with every new unit
Three Years of Maintenance

Every new unit purchased from Adams carries three years of maintenance in the price of the system, which also keeps the documentation your warranty may depend on.

Run hours, monsoon dust, and where the unit sits

Which Carrier Features Earn Their Price in Phoenix

Phoenix is a hard place to be a piece of cooling equipment, and it shows up in which Carrier features earn their price here. The city runs roughly 111 days a year at or above 100 degrees, with a normal July high near 106 and a first 100 degree day averaging around May 2. Equipment ages by run hours, not by calendar years, so build quality and serviceability matter more than they would in a mild market.

That also changes the variable capacity conversation. In a climate with a long, flat cooling load, equipment that can run at part capacity for hours rather than cycling hard is doing something real rather than something theoretical. It is still not right for every house, and the honest test is the load calculation and the duct system, not the brochure tier.

Monsoon season, June 15 through September 30 on the National Weather Service calendar, is the other local factor. Dust events pack condenser coils, and a coil that cannot shed heat pushes the compressor harder on the worst afternoons of the year. Coil access and cleaning schedule are worth thinking about at selection time, not after.

Placement finishes the picture. Rooftop packaged equipment on flat roof housing, condensers in narrow side yards and alleys in the older grid neighborhoods, and attic air handlers all change what is practical to install and what is practical to service for the next decade.

Adams Refrigeration Team

Carrier for Homes, Carrier for Buildings

Same manufacturer, same authorization, different problems to solve.

Residential

Houses across the Valley
  • Central air, heat pumps, furnaces, and mini splits sized to the house rather than the old unit.
  • Variable capacity and Infinity controls where the load and the ducts justify them.
  • Smart thermostat compatibility and zoning for houses that never cooled evenly.
  • Quieter operation, which matters when the condenser sits under a bedroom window.
  • Three years of maintenance included with every new unit purchased from Adams.

Commercial

Offices, retail, and warehouse space
  • Rooftop packaged unit installation and replacement, including curb and crane work.
  • Multi zone systems for offices and retail where one thermostat was never going to be enough.
  • High efficiency packaged equipment selected against operating cost, not just first cost.
  • Scheduled maintenance plans so failures surface on a planned visit instead of a Monday.
  • Emergency repair at any hour, because downtime in a business is measured in lost days.

One shop, one parts counter, and the same technicians behind both sides. Adams has run residential and commercial work out of Phoenix since 1947.

Signs Your Carrier Unit Needs Attention

Carrier equipment is built to last, and it still tells you when something has drifted. These are the signals worth acting on before summer does the acting for you.

  • Heating or cooling that is inconsistent from room to room, or across the property.
  • Energy bills climbing with no change in how you are running the system.
  • Rattling, buzzing, or banging that was not there last season.
  • Cycling on and off every few minutes instead of running a proper cycle.
  • Weak airflow at the vents, which is as often a duct problem as an equipment one.
  • A system old enough that parts are getting harder to source for that model.
On repair versus replace
Most of These End in a Repair

A sign on this list is a reason to look, not a reason to replace. We will tell you which one you are dealing with on the first visit.

Questions We Get

Do I have to buy Carrier if I use Adams?

Arrow Down

No. Adams installs and services every major brand in the Valley. Factory authorization means depth on Carrier equipment, the training and the parts channel, rather than a restriction on what we will work on or what we will recommend.

What does Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer actually mean?

Arrow Down

That the dealer meets Carrier’s requirements for training, service capability, and customer satisfaction, and has direct access to factory parts and technical support. Practically it means the people diagnosing your unit were trained on that unit, and the parts going into it are the manufacturer’s.

Is an Infinity or Performance series unit worth the extra money here?

Arrow Down

Sometimes. In a long, flat cooling season, equipment that runs at part capacity rather than cycling hard is doing real work. Whether your house benefits depends on the load calculation and the duct system, so we answer that after measuring rather than from a brochure.

Will a new Carrier unit use a different refrigerant?

Arrow Down

Most likely yes. Residential systems using R-410A left production after January 1, 2025 under the EPA rule implementing the AIM Act, so new equipment runs a lower global warming potential A2L such as R-454B. Your existing R-410A system can still be serviced.

Does using an authorised dealer affect my warranty?

Arrow Down

Manufacturer warranties generally depend on correct installation and documented maintenance rather than on who sold it, so keep the commissioning and service records. Tell us the model and we will tell you what your specific warranty requires.

Do you service Carrier commercial rooftop equipment?

Arrow Down

Yes. Rooftop packaged units, multi zone systems, and scheduled maintenance plans for offices, retail, and warehouse space across Phoenix. The line is open every hour, which matters when a failure is costing a business its day.

I have two air-conditioning units on my house, both purchased from ADAMS, and both serviced for the last 15 years by ADAMS. They always deliver very professional service, and I am never gouged on the price. I recommend ADAMS to anyone who is having issues with their air-conditioning unit.
I scheduled a 20 pt inspection for my air conditioner to make sure it’s ready for the summer. Ethan Madrid came out, and did a thorough, excellent job. He called beforehand, letting us know when he would be arriving, and even arrived earlier than expected! He was very knowledgeable, gave excellent advice regarding the best type of filter I should use for my unit. He thoroughly cleaned out my air conditioner coils, and checked all the components of my air conditioner. He told me about the different membership deals available, but wasn’t pushy at all. Ethan was pleasant, respectful, knowledgeable, and thorough. Thank you, Adam’s refrigeration!
It was just a simple Cleaning and inspection for 69.95. The tech was very thorough, explained everything to me. Everything was fine, but even if it wasn’t,I’m still on the 10 year warranty which covers all labor and parts. I buy all my air conditioners from Adams, For both my home and my rental units.. Not only do I think they are the most fair and honest air-conditioning company to do business with. I think they’re just one of the best companies overall I’ve ever done business with. I highly recommend them.me
